Couples

Our minds are  a chorus of voices.  They sing our history,  our fears, our desire,  our beliefs.  When we can hear and acknowledge these voices, we create the opportunity to integrate them.  As we do this for ourselves, and come to know and accept who we are, likewise we become able to hear the various voices of our partner, friend, parent, child, and are more inclined to know and accept them.

When we have the ability to pay attention in this way, we create the opportunity for a rich intimacy where individuality and collaboration, strength and vulnerability, fear and security, can exist fully, side by side.
